Four Namibian crafters exhibit in China
Four Namibian crafters from the Namibia Craft Centre recently represented the country at the 2025 China-Africa Economic Trade Expo in Changsha, Hunan Province, China. Their participation was made possible through the support of the National Arts Council of Namibia (NACN) via its mobility grant.
A significant milestone was marked on 14 June when the Minister of International Relations and Trade, Selma Ashipala-Musavyi, officially inaugurated the Namibia Permanent Pavilion at the Expo. The pavilion served not only as a trade platform but also as a vibrant display of Namibia’s creative talent and cultural innovation. “The participation of our creatives, facilitated by NACN, ensured that the authentic essence of Namibian creativity resonated deeply with the international audience,” the council said in a statement.
