Fabupharm says tests confirm children’s syrup is safe

Henriette Lamprecht
Fabupharm has announced that its Children’s Paracetamol Syrup meets all safety, quality, and regulatory standards, after independent test results confirmed the product’s safety.

According to the company, the first of two laboratory reports confirmed that the product is safe and fully within international standards and specifications. Both the company’s own internal tests and those conducted by Quality Services Laboratory (QSL) supported these findings.

Fabupharm commissioned a comprehensive, independent verification and assessment by two certified laboratories to investigate claims about the product’s safety and quality. In a statement, the company said these allegations were made without any supporting evidence or scientific evaluation.

The company further emphasised that it had worked constructively with the Namibian Medicines Regulatory Council (NMRC) throughout the process. Fabupharm reiterated its commitment to maintaining the highest pharmaceutical standards and ensuring that the products it manufactures are safe and of high quality.
