Cash crunch delays Rundu pay

Rundu Town Council employees have not received their October salaries, with the council blaming financial constraints.

In an internal notice dated 23 October and addressed to staff, the council cited ongoing cash-flow difficulties and a lack of available funds, adding that outstanding salaries would be paid as soon as funds became available.

When approached for comment, council CEO Olavi Nathanael declined to comment, saying internal matters were normally dealt with internally in accordance with the relevant policies.
