Erongo governor Neville Andre says the manner in which Walvis Bay residents have responded to the active case identification exercise, rolled out at the harbour town last week, has impressed him.
The exercise includes the mass testing target of 2 000 people at the town for Covid-19.
Speaking during his weekly Covid-19 update at the Swakopmund municipal chambers this past Friday, Andre called on all employers to show their cooperation to everyone involved for the duration of the exercise.
“We appeal with all employers to join us in affording maximum support to their employees during and after this exercise,” he said.
The governor also urged residents to cooperate with health practitioners during this time.
