Launched in 2018, stylist Yverischka Ivertor Bok is happy with the pace at which her brand, She Gotz Style, is growing.

She told tjil that although She Gotz Style is still in its infancy, she has never been more confident in what this brand will accomplish and what lies ahead.

She added that it's not easy opening your own business, especially when it started off as a passion-fuelled hobby, and reaching new heights within the last two years, which she initially anticipated only to happen within three, is astonishing to her. “Being the only female in the category once again is what truly means the most to me for this nomination. I am all for women empowerment and women reaching tremendous heights. It just shows that women are capable of achieving anything they set their minds to.”

She quoted Duchess of Sussex, philanthropist and former actress Meghan Markle, saying: “I've never wanted to be a lady who lunches, I've always wanted to be a woman who works”.

Slowly but surely

On the growth of her brand, Bok said although taking a while, She Gotz Style has grown immensely and the public is now more engaged and aware of the brand and the services she provides.

She said the business name and her names are now recognised, emphasising that she has been showing up for all her clients, which has really paid off. The stylist added that, ultimately, client satisfaction remains her first priority and aim.

“I am also very proud of a few major player clients who have knocked on She Gotz Style's door. An example would be Nadja Breytenbach, the reigning Miss Namibia, who reached out for her first official appearance event of her second year reign. “Being her first choice outside her contractual obligations, styling her was a huge honour,” Bok said.

Looking ahead

Bok shared that for the remainder of the year, her brand will focus on a few of their own production lines to launch next year, as well as a transformation programme that can hopefully still happen this year. “Ultimately, now more than ever, I am just trying to serve my clients to the best of my ability and achieve client satisfaction.”

Other creatives nominated in the favourite stylist category with Bok include Miles Meroro, Aubrey Styling and Talah Hashipala.
