Season-ending fistball tourney scheduled for Swakopmund
The Namibian fistball season ends tomorrow when the SFC Sport Club in Swakopmund hosts the Bank Windhoek National Fistball Cup Competition. The tournament starts at 09:00. The tournament will be played in two categories, namely the National A League and the National B League. A cup will be up for grabs in each league. The second division (National B League) is expected to have a record number of participants with teams from Swakopmund, Walvis Bay and Windhoek participating. The favourites are SKW3, who recently won the Bank Windhoek National B League. Their main rivals will be the Cohen FC 3 team, who narrowly lost the league final against SKW 3 a couple of weeks ago. With an experienced SFC side in the mix, the second division of the tournament promises to be an explosive mix with great fistball action. Atlantis FC from Walvis Bay will also be in action. The tournament will be followed by a prize-giving ceremony which will not only honour the winners of the tournament and the Bank Windhoek Fistball leagues, but the Fistball Association of Namibia (FAN) will also announce the Danric Auto Senior and Junior Fistball Player of the Year.
