Police searching for wounded robber
Police in Otjozondjupa has requested all hospitals and clinics around Okahandja and nearby areas to look out for a man with a gunshot wound, following a robbery around 07h30 this morning at Agra Okahandja.
A security guard who was carrying out his daily duties to transfer funds to the main branch was ambushed by five armed robbers who fled the scene with a bag containing N$49 000 cash in a silver Golf GTi. One of the suspects was shot during the robbery.
One of the employees who chose to remain anonymous suspects an insider at Agra must have tipped off the robbers as this is done daily. "The guard was on his way from DIY depot to the main branch by foot as usual, and was attacked, the guard sustained injuries,” she said.
