One Africa TV recently announced that its #TodayOnOne weekday bulletin has been extended from 30 minutes to a 60-minute time slot. This was effective from World Press Freedom Day, 3 May.
“Our decision was driven by our relentless pursuit to increase the positive impact we have in Namibia and its communities through trustworthy, independent local content,” Taleni Shimhopileni, content manager and director of One Africa TV, said.
Maggie Forcelledo Paz, the managing producer of #TodayOnOne, added: “This is a milestone for the #TodayOnOne team especially since the launch coincided with World Press Freedom Day.
“We continue to appreciate the fact that we can still - without interference - disseminate factual and relevant information, as Namibia retains her number one position for press freedom in Africa.
“Our Motto is ‘Always There’ and we will continue to be there and keep the nation up to date with the latest current affairs as no Namibian should be left out when it comes to access to information. Keep on watching, it just gets better,” she said.
