The Omaheke Football Region refused to hold elections at the weekend, even after the NFA had directed them to, stating that they were not ready to do so.

The Omaheke Football Region snubbed NFA officials who went to Gobabis to conduct a regional election in a bid to bring in a new executive, Namibian Sun has learned.
It is understood that NFA secretary-general Franco Cosmos and his delegation went to the town in an attempt to oversee the process.
Most of the region’s exco members allegedly refused to attend the meeting that was expected to unseat them.
Chairman of the region Ludwig Crooks Nunuheb confirmed yesterday that they did not want the election to take place until Fifa has issued a directive.
“We are waiting for a Fifa and Caf delegation to give a directive before we can hold elections.
“We had requested time until February in order to have everything organised,” Nunuheb said.
Regions like Zambezi have conducted their elections and new leaders were elected.
The Omaheke Region had a different opinion about hosting elections, even after Caf had advised the NFA not to hold any elections until a directive from Caf was given.
“The other thing I can tell is that we have not even received our regional grants yet to have our books in good standing and that is why I do not see us holding an election now,” Nunuheb said.
Caf earlier this month instructed the NFA to put its extraordinary congress planned for 20 November on hold following their visit to Namibia aimed at understanding the current situation in football which has seen leaders at loggerheads for the past couple of months.
Caf further informed the association that a Fifa delegation would come to Namibia in December and that a roadmap would be provided to the NFA on how football can continue.
NFA secretary-general Franco Cosmos could not be reached for comment, as his phone went unanswered.
