Nurse pours boiling water on cheating boyfriend

A 26-year-old nurse from Mariental, who caught her boyfriend cheating, poured boiling water on him.

The incident happened at the nurses' home at the Mariental State Hospital last Saturday morning.

According to the police, when the woman caught her boyfriend in bed with another woman, she boiled water and poured it over them in anger.

Both victims sustained injuries, however, the 27-year-old man's injuries were more serious and he was transferred to Windhoek, while woman was admitted in a stable condition. The suspect was arrested.



Minors raped

At Rehoboth, a 13-year-old girl was raped by a 55-year-old man last Tuesday.

It is alleged that the man entered the girl's bedroom while she was cleaning and locked the door.

According to the police, he apparently then undressed himself and raped her. The following day, the girl reported the incident to her guardian, who then alerted the police. The girl was taken to the hospital for examination, while the man has been arrested.

In another incident, a 13-year-old girl was raped by an Angolan man last Thursday at the Onaupanya village in the Eenhana Constituency.

It is alleged the man accompanied the girl and two other children to get water at a nearby well.

However, after some time had passed, only the other two children returned.

The girl's guardian went looking for her and found the suspect raping her. He has since been arrested.



Gang rape

At Wanaheda, two 22-year-old cousins were gang raped by two men who broke into their bedroom on Thursday.

The unknown suspects, who covered their faces with balaclavas, allegedly entered the women's room while they were sleeping. The women are bar attendants, who also live at their workplace.

One of the suspects was armed with a firearm.

It is alleged that one of the suspects raped one of the women and then demanded the cash made during the day, taking it as well as other household items.

The suspects then took turns raping both women. No arrests have been made.



Attempted rape

Meanwhile, at Kuisebmond, a 28-year-old suspect attempted to rape a six-year-old girl on Friday.

According to the police, he allegedly undressed the girl and tried to rape her. The suspect has not been arrested. Investigations continue.
