NPL puts Tigers case to bed
The MTC Namibia Premier League (NPL) yesterday officially confirmed that Tigers will forfeit points after they failed to pitch up for their first two matches of the season, following a lapsed appeal period.
Tigers did show up for their first two matches against Unam FC and Citizens, citing unfitness. As a result, the league decided they should forfeit the points. NPL league administrator Joshua //Hoebeb said: “We wrote a letter to Tigers on 13 March about the decision we have taken. They had seven days in which they had to respond or refuse to forfeit the points, but they did not do so. “So from the side of the NPL, this case is no more and we do not want rumours circulating that this issue is still on.”
