Nine-year-old boy rapes two girls

A nine-year-old boy, who had been expelled from school due to his sexual behaviour towards fellow learners, on Saturday followed two girls, aged five and eight, and allegedly raped them at Ozondati village in the Omatjete District.

According to the police the boy followed the two girls when they walked into the veld to urinate.

He then grabbed the eight-year-old girl and raped her in front of the younger girl before raping the younger child too.

The boy has not been arrested.

In another incident on Saturday at Tuhingireni location in the Rundu District, Kavango East Region, a 13-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her 24-year-old neighbour.

It is alleged that the man went to charge his mobile phone at the house where the girl lives. After receiving his phone the man requested the girl to escort him to his house, where he allegedly he raped her.

On Friday, a 31-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping a seven-year-old girl at Oniiyagaya village in the Oshikoto Region.

The suspect, who is a domestic worker at the girl's house, allegedly called the girl and her ten-year-old cousin to his bedroom to watch videos on his cellphone.

When they entered the room the man told the cousin to wait outside and then raped the younger girl.

Meanwhile a 32-year-old man was arrested for raping a four-year-old girl while she was staying with her uncle at a farm in the Hochfeld District for the past two months.

According to the police the man was arrested on Thursday at Farm Omgoromoroshiwa in the Hochfeld District. The girl has been admitted to hospital in a stable condition.





In another incident at Otjiwarongo a man was arrested on Friday after he confessed to the police that he had raped his brother's eight-year-old son about a month ago.

According to the police the suspect said he felt guilty after developing sexually transmitted diseases and decided to hand himself over to the police.

In a separate incident a 21-year-old man was arrested for raping a 15-year-old girl at Onandjamba village in the Okankolo area.

It is alleged that the two had walked home together from school. When they reached the man's house, he pulled the girl into his bedroom and raped her.
