Navy member arrested for Daniel's murder

Less than a month after the body of 26-year-old Jennefer Daniels was found on the beach near Vierkantklip, police have arrested Petrus Nghidimbwasha (26), a member of the Namibian Navy, in connection with the killing.
Nghidimbwasha appeared before Walvis Bay Magistrate John Sindano on Friday.
The case was postponed until 3 March 2021 for further police investigation. Nghidimbwasha was denied bail.
Prior to her death, Daniels lived in Mondesa in Swakopmund and worked for a well-known local café. Her body was found on 25 November.
According to the police, multiple injuries were found all over her body. After her death, family members held a demonstration in Swakopmund demanding justice for Daniels and all victims and survivors of sexual and gender-based violence.
