Namibiër is toppresteerder by Nasa-ruimteskool

Christo Boshoff, ? graad 11-leerling van Windhoek Afrikaanse Privaatskool, het onlangs die Amerikaanse ruimteagentskap (NASA) se ruimteskool (USS) bygewoon waar hy die Toppresteerder-toekenning ontvang het. Dit word gegee aan die leerling wat die beste gemiddelde akademiese prestasie behaal het vir al die take en opdragte wat vooraf en tydens die program voltooi is. “Ek het die USS baie geniet en ek het so baie geleer. Dit was een van die moeilikste goed wat ek al moes doen en ons moes baie hard werk,” het Boshoff gesê. Deskundiges het praatjies gelewer oor al die verskillende aspekte van ? sending na Mars. Leerlinge is in vyf groepe ingedeel wat elkeen op ? sekere aspek van die missie moes fokus. Daarna moes almal saamwerk en verseker die saamgevoegde aspekte is suksesvol. “Ek was in die rooi span wat die transit vehicle moes ontwerp. Ons het ook op uitstappies gegaan en onder meer die Johnson-ruimtesentrum besoek,” het Boshoff gesê.
