N$2.8 million in drugs confiscated in Aug
From February to July this year, drugs to the value of more than N$18.7 million were confiscated in Namibia.

The Namibian Police seized drugs valued at nearly N$3 million last month, while 102 suspects were arrested in connection with drug-related crimes.
Of these suspects 96 were Namibians, three Congolese, one Angolan, one Zimbabwean and one South African.
According to the drug seizure and arrest report for the month of August, drugs with a street value of more than N$2.87 million were confiscated.
These included 280.344 kg of cannabis worth more than N$2.8 million, 516 Mandrax tablets to the value of N$61 920, 63 units of crack cocaine to the value of N$6 300 and one straw of crystal methamphetamine to the value of N$200.
According to police statistics, from February to July this year drugs to the value of more than N$18.7 million were confiscated in Namibia.
During the same time, 637 suspects were arrested on drugs charges, of whom 605 were Namibians. Statistics for January were not available.
