Mother accused of killing, dumping baby in custody
The 34-year-old woman faces charges of murder and defeating the course of justice.

Taimi Abraham - who stands accused of murdering her baby boy, whose body was found on a dumpsite in Uukwalumbe village in the Omusati Region - appeared in the Okahao Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.
Abraham (34) was remanded in custody and the case was postponed to 28 March for further investigations.
At the time of her arrest, she was employed as a cleaner at Shaanika Nashingo Secondary School. She faces charges of murder and defeating the course of justice.
Police commander in Omusati, commissioner Titus Shikongo, said Abraham gave birth privately on 23 December 2021 and stayed in her room with the baby until 7 January.
She is accused of murdering the baby and dumping his body in a dustbin at Uukwalumbe’s dumpsite, ran by the Okahao town council.
The baby’s lifeless body was discovered wrapped in a plastic bag.
Abraham was arrested last Sunday.
