Miss Namibia 2018 fever!
Am I the only one who thinks that the hype for Miss Namibia 2018 is anything but out there? I mean this time last year we knew most of the finalists.
We know they have been chosen but it seems they have been 'secretly' leaked to media houses who will publish, like we have, over the weekend?
Way too late …
Maybe they want to keep it low-key for now, I know for sure that it is a way to make us curious and leave us speechless the night of the crowning.
In the past few years, since Odile Gertze, it has become a tradition for families all over Namibia to lounge in front of the television and judge these close to perfect females. I know, as a child it was literally my favourite thing to do.
Now I don't even know who the finalists are, and I don't know if that is my fault or if the advertising is weak.
I know one person who took part but that is only because I know her from high school. Something has to change. Either I need to step up my couch potato game or the people in charge of advertising for Miss Namibia 2018 have to re-evaluate their strategy.
I need to personally rekindle my passion for pageants and maybe that would require doing research or reading about them. It would just make it much easier for me if there was actually something to read.
I honestly don't know if I am the only one, but if I'm not then let the church say amen. Any of you who have been following all the developments of Miss Namibia 2018, religiously, please hook your girl up.
I am so ready to commit myself to watching it this year and sharing my opinion. Not that I'm a critic or anything, I just like being in the 'know'.
Also, if NBC could please improve their camera quality, this time around that would be really great!
