Meatco AGM in February
Meatco has confirmed that its annual general meeting (AGM) will be held on 19 February 2021 at the Namibian Institute of Public Administration and Management (NIPAM) in Windhoek.
In terms of the Meatco Act, only registered members of the Meat Corporation of Namibia may attend and vote at the AGM.
This will be the 34th Meatco AGM and it was scheduled to be held on 21 August this year, but was postponed due to coronavirus restrictions. The resolution of the 33rd AGM stipulates that to qualify for registration as a member of Meatco, a producer must sell at least one unit of livestock to Meatco during the period immediately preceding the date on which their membership is to be determined, namely, three years for members south of the Veterinary Cordon Fence (VCF) and five years for members north of the VCF.
