Lood de Jager was the leading South African performer as the Barbarians claimed a memorable 38-35 victory over Argentina at Twickenham on Saturday.
The Barbarians, who were coached by Springbok mentor Rassie Erasmus, had 13 Springboks in the match-day 23.
However, there is no doubt that De Jager was the deserved Man of the Match as he completed an inordinate amount of tackles, while also impressively finishing off an important try.
It was De Jager's first start since suffering a serious bicep injury midway through Super Rugby this year, and so it's a performance that would certainly have pleased the big lock and Erasmus.
Bok centre Jesse Kriel played a key role in the lead-up to De Jager's try with a lovely break and offload, and he was another Springbok who enjoyed an industrious outing on Saturday.
Of course, mention also has to be made of replacement Elton Jantjies, who superbly slotted a late drop goal to hand the Barbarians the thrilling victory.
It was also a neat grubber from Jantjies that set up a try for Bok centre Damian de Allende, who was another player who enjoyed a good day out.
Despite carrying a heavy workload this year, Springbok skipper Siya Kolisi is another player who produced an industrious effort, which included a number of big tackles and ball carries, while he also scored a try.
Pieter-Steph du Toit and Schalk Brits were also involved in a movement that culminated in a try for Juan Manuel Leguizamon early on, and which set the Barbarians on their way.
World Rugby's Breakthrough Player of 2018, Aphiwe Dyantyi, displayed some of the speed and footwork that saw him earn this award after an unforgettable year, and he was unfortunate not to add his name to the scoresheet.
All in all, it certainly wasn't a bad day at the office for the Barbarians or their large contingent of South African players.
