Epic horse racing was the order of the day at Okahandja on Saturday, with Leeuloop and Visigoth stealing the 1 800m Open at the August Rush horse races.

The event, which saw Nambred and Thoroughbred horses compete for honours, was organised by Khomas Racing Club chaired by George Mouton. The August Rush results are as follows:

Nambred Maidens beginners (1000m): Okakueyuva, Silver Son and Novel dream

Thoroughbred Maidens (1000m): NaN, Here's the Master and Flames Are Flying

Nambred D-Division (1000M): Miss Macnamara, Try Again and Waterloo

Thoroughbred Graduation (1000m): Rockhampton Rocket, Got Your Back and Anina

Thoroughbred D-Division 1000m: Cowgirl in The Sand, Warm Peg and Coal

Nambred A-Division 1000m: Leeuloop , Von Trotha and Freedom Fighter

Thoroughbred A-Division 1000M: Starlile, Visigoth and Rockley Beach

Nambred Maiden beginners (1400): Silver Son, Right Win and Novel Dream

Thoroughbred Maidens (1600m) Flames Are Flying, Here's the Master and Chief Many Feathers
