Keeping it real
The first step after deciding to venture into showbiz is getting to know the industry, a stage I feel is skipped by a lot of Namibian entertainment entrepreneurs.
This is evident by the lack of innovation from many event organisers during Covid-19. It was clear that most of them relied on people showing up to events and as soon as social distancing measures were implemented, many were out of business, simply because they only had one way of doing it - gathering people physically.
I urge entertainment entrepreneurs to read as much as possible. Experts in their respective fields constantly read, study or research to keep up with new developments, and entertainment is no different.
Be an expert in entertainment and stop giving us mediocre content. Everyone did online shows the same way, and many were boring. The game needs more innovation.
