Keeping it real

29 May 2020 | Art and Entertainment

With so many things going on in showbiz these past few weeks, in today's piece I want to touch on how to guarantee an unsuccessful music career.

Yes, you read that right.

The Notorious B.I.G said it best. “More money, more problems.” Everyone has their issues and though a strong fan base can provide some temporary solace during tough times, those issues are only magnified when everything you do is subject to public scrutiny.

With that said, every man and woman must carry their cross. If you have ever wondered about sure ways to halt your music career before it even starts, look no further. Here are two things you should never do if you plan on being successful: Say offensive things on social media, and be late. For anything. Shows, interviews, meetings… Just don't do it.

It's important to have good etiquette, both on social media and in person, so that brands will be keen to work with you.
