Keeping it real
The entertainment industry is fickle, and in the words of Australian-born Canadian actor John Pyper-Ferguson, “it's about living in the moment, being clear with it and understanding that this is another opportunity to step up the staircase a little bit and create some newer opportunities as well as get involved in some other projects, and possibly creating your own”.
I've noticed in our entertainment industry, a lot of people want the glamorous lifestyles, but behind the scenes, there's a big gap. Jobs that require you to swallow your pride, serve people and collect your bag. Show business is broad and there are behind-the-scenes avenues that are under-exploited, especially in Namibia. As creatives, we should start to exploit those parts of the industry.
