Namibian goalkeeper Loydt Kazapua has expressed excitement about his move to Chippa United.
The Brave Warriors and former Cape Umoya United goalkeeper has signed a two-year contract with South African DSTV Premiership side Chippa United for an undisclosed fee.
“It has been great being part of Cape Umoya but my journey with them ended and I am now starting a new one.
“I was a free agent and signing with Chippa United is very exciting for me.
“I am prepared to work hard for my new club by making sure that I do the best I can,” Kazapua said.
Kazapua is a three times Namibia Premier League (NPL) winner and four times NFA Cup winner.
He was also praised for his great goalkeeping skills during the 2018 Africa Cup of Nations.
The goalkeeper has been part of the national team setup for a number of years, which has seen him playing in major competitions such as Afcon, Chan and the Cosafa Cup.
“I am very happy that he has made this move because it will help him in his career.
“He is a good goalkeeper and I would like to welcome him to the South African Premier Division,” fellow countryman and Golden Arrows keeper Maximillian Mbaeva said.
