I dream of a Namibia…

I dream of a Namibia that takes care of all its people, where the national cake is shared equally and where valid dreams are nurtured to their full blooming.
I dream of a Namibia where youth are hoisted into prominence, and where politicians, especially those long in the tooth, step aside to give room to innovation, youthful energy, passion and drive.
I dream of a Namibia in which simplicity overwhelms meanderings into complexity, in which we are put on the map, not for scandal, but for bringing our uniqueness, our qualities to the world.
I dream of a Namibia where our resources - our riches - are not handed away on silver platters, a Namibia in which proximity to political power does not determine success.
I dream of a Namibia where the bloodshed and pain of our past is replaced with renewed vigour to play our role effectively in being a symbol of how war is not the answer, anywhere.
I dream of a time, perhaps not too far in our future, where the Land of the Brave sheds the shackles of returning to former glories, and courageously challenges, for the better, this bleeding and battered world.
