Tura Magic captain and Brave Warriors no-nonsense central defender, Charles 'Chalo' Hambira, has signed with South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) side Baroka FC.
Tura Magic officially announced the transfer in a media statement yesterday, after they refused to comment for some weeks while saying they were unaware of the 28-year-old's two-year deal.
The memorandum of agreement between Tura Magic and Baroka FC was signed on Friday.
“The player and his new club will enter into their own agreement with regard to the employment relationship.
“Tura Magic wishes all the player the best of luck and expresses the hope that he will 'turn on the magic' at his new club,” the statement reads.
Hambira will become the third Namibian player to play for Baroka.
The club is famously known as “Bagaga” by fans. Hambira joins a number of Namibian players in the PSL, including Kaizer Chiefs signings Virgil Vries, Ananias Gebhardt and Peter Shalulile.
