Fresh and popping – music videos edition

Complementing songs with stunning visuals.

04 October 2019 | Art and Entertainment

The momentum of music video releases has carried on into the last quarter of 2019 and doesn't seem to be slowing down any time soon. In case your schedule has got you completely out of touch with new heat, here are the notable music videos released recently.

Energy – Vikta Juiceboy

Shot by Crisp Film Production, Energy premiered on 20 September. Vikta Juiceboy is in his own lane spewing out ambient, love-themed music for Sunday afternoon drives and chilled sessions in a time when a lot of what is coming out is up-tempo dance music. Before going to print this music video had 20 491 views on YouTube.

Ndota – ML Musician

ML has been one of the busiest in the industry this year and her consistency to continue dropping music is very impressive considering that she is quite occupied with a lot of things outside of music. She recently released the visuals to her song Ndota and the video has been received quite well if you ask us. In this video you can tell that she was having fun while shooting it. She wants Bonang Matheba to hear her music so please after reading this tjil is directing you to retweet her music.

Statement – Jaleel ft LMPC

When you cannot decide whether you want to turn up, swag out or reminisce over an estranged ex, this song is for you. The video was shot by Reggie Films and released about two weeks ago. It keeps gaining momentum online and because it is too soon to tell, we are not sure if this particular video is a game-changer, but it is definitely worth watching. You might even end up repeating it just so you can analyse some of the impressive cinematic shots by Reggie Films.

Escobar of rap Freestyle – Mega

Another video shot by Reggie Films made our list. This song deserves an honourable mention because of its simple storyline. They did not complicate things by having a deep storyline, but visually it is the perfect complement of what the song is about. In the video Mega exudes confidence, it is almost like a warning to his competition. We cannot wait to see what Slaughterhouse Entertainment will follow this up with. In the meantime, if you haven't watched this video yet, get with the programme and catch up on what you have been missing out on.
