Fresh and popping – August edition

We can all agree: This winter started off with a bang! The national lockdown put a lot of artists in top form, and the music released has been a true reflection of that.

WINDHOEK

As we steadily approach spring, tjil shares some winter singles closing off the season that we think deserve some praise.

He saying – Emvee K featuring Sway-Kid

Although we have to admit we were frustrated by the silence from Emvee K on the music front, at the end of the day, the wait was totally worth it.

This single is quite unique with its differentiation in sounds, and shout out to Sway-Kid for getting involved. It was also good to see Emvee K make use of fellow young women in a collage for the track's artwork.

Tuze – Elia Da Vincii featuring M.I.G

Off rapper Elia Da Vincii's latest album titled I Am Who I Am, Tuze seems to be the fan favourite. It won't be surprising if he pushes it as a single by complementing it with visuals soon.

On this project, Elia Da Vincii uses music to address various social ills and in hopes to create our reality among everything bad going on in the world.

This body of work will take you to another place.

Faya Burn – Rass Marley featuring King Elegant and VDKEI Crazyboy

This is one of the exciting collaborations out right now. It was really spot on for Rass Marley to feature King Elegant and VDKEI Crazyboy on this song.

King Elegant has been pushing these past few years and Faya Burn gave us a more vocal showcase of his ability as a true musician.

Notice – Waters

Here's the reason why R&B is not dead in Namibia. Singer Waters recently released one of my favourite singles so far. tjil recently had a chat with him, and we really appreciate his skill set and versatility. Check it out!
