Become the Tourist of the Year

In an effort to promote local tourism, Tourismus Namibia has teamed up with Vivo Energy Namibia.

The Namibia - My Own Gem competition is aimed at increasing domestic travel as well as developing promotional materials for Namibian products by Namibians through personal experiences.

Open to all Namibians above the age of 18, the competition will give an opportunity to two people to win a fully financed weekend at an accommodation establishment under any of the following brands: Gondwana Collection Namibia, Journeys Namibia, Namibia Wildlife Resorts, N/a'ankusê and O&L Leisure. As part of marketing Destination Namibia, winners will be expected to document their entire trip. The footage will be edited and used as promotional videos for the participating establishments for both domestic and international markets. Interested Namibians are required to submit a video of not more than three minutes of any of their local trips to 081 170 0033 before 30 July. The prize has a total value of N$700 000.
