Walvisbaai Privaat Hoërskool het onlangs hul jaarlikse Astra-extravaganza-aand aangebied waar die leerders wat die beste presteer het in die kunste, toegeken is.

Die redenaarstrofees was toegeken aan A J Bruwer (redenaar senior primer), Elmi McCarthy (redenaar junior seconder) en Maurice Hinterholzer (redenaar senior seconder).

Die astra wenners was as volg:

Ster Kreatiewe Skrywer was Karli Rudolph, ster joernalis - Maurice Hinterholzer, ster instrumentalis - Ruan Lotriet, ster sanger - Jonelle de Jager, ster kunstenares - Gabriella Mouton, ster danser - Elizhia Alberts, ster tegniese bestuurders - Rohan van der Bank en Jonathan van Zyl, ster tienerregisseur - Carla Hannabus, opkomende drama ster - Bianca Hill, ster akteur - Corné Engelbrecht, ster aktrise - Anina van Rensburg, the Principal's Arts ASTRA - The Arty One - Daniel Allen, en die astra ikoon vir 2019 was Jonelle de Jager
