Air Namibia, Namases part ways
Suspended Air Namibia Managing Director Theo Namases has agreed to amicably part ways with the national airline. In a memo addressed to Air Namibia staff and seen by Namibian Sun late yesterday, the Air Namibia Board said the two parties parted ways amicably and that the employment agreement of Namases as MD came to an end by agreement effective June 30 (today). According to the memo, the content of the agreement is confidential and it will not be made public as per agreement between the two parties. Namibian Sun understands that Namases was offered a golden handshake by the struggling national airline. Namases was suspended almost a year ago alongside the company’s General Manager for Airport Services, Nokokure 'Noks' Katjiuongua. At the time of the duo’s suspension the board indicated that the suspension “took place to allow the airline to conclude and finalise on-going investigations”.
