Become the first Tourist of the Year

23 July 2020 | Tourism

Do you ooze charm and confidence that make you a natural in front of the camera?

Do you enjoy recording and sharing videos of what you're doing?

Are you constantly updating your status on your social media platforms?

Join the Tourismus Namibia team and tell the world about your experiences when visiting a lodge or holiday destination – and in the process win a big prize!

In an effort to promote local tourism, Tourismus Namibia has teamed up with Vivo Energy Namibia, Gondwana Collection Namibia, Journeys Namibia, Namibia Wildlife Resorts, N/a'ankusê and O&L Leisure.

These companies not only want to promote tourism, but also engage with the Namibian public to find the Tourist of the Year.

So if you love travelling, camping, glamping, going on trips and visiting places off the beaten track as well as seeing our magnificent wildlife and engaging with Namibian people and cultures, you could become one of our lucky candidates.

Participants will be expected to keep an electronic diary of their trip.

We want to see photos and videos of the excitement when you plan a trip, the joy when you travel to your destination and the thrill of visiting extraordinary Namibian destinations.

Namibia Media Holdings (NMH) will assist you in compiling a video-story of your sponsored experience, while Vivo Energy Namibia will provide you with fuel for the trip.

In November, convince the visitors of the Namibia Tourism Expo that they should award you their vote for the best experience, and you could be crowned TOURIST OF THE YEAR.
