12 arrested for wildlife crimes
Eight illegal wildlife products were confiscated last week and 12 suspects were arrested for wildlife crimes.

Twelve suspects were arrested last week in connection while four new wildlife crime cases.
According to the latest wildlife crime report compiled by the intelligence and investigation unit within the environment ministry and the protected resource ministry within the safety and security ministry, eight illegal wildlife products were confiscated.
At Oshikango, two Namibians and two Angolans were arrested on 9 November when they were found with three pangolin skins.
Sam Kalwenya, Erastus Hailulu, Jose Kambinda and Baptisca Tchitongo were charged with illegal possession of and dealing in controlled wildlife products.
In another incident at Nkurenkuru, four Namibians were arrested on 9 November when they were found in possession a cane rat carcass.
At Witvlei, an Angolan national and a Namibian were arrested on 9 November with an oryx carcass.
Collin Ndjamba and Tom Veripi were both charged with illegal hunting of huntable game.
Meanwhile at Kahenge, two Namibians were arrested on 12 November with three python skins. Hausiku Haimbangu and Karupa Mukwambi were charged with illegal possession of and dealing in controlled wildlife products.
