101 arrested for drugs
The police confiscated illicit drugs worth N$947 580 last month.

More than 100 suspects were arrested for drug-related crimes last month, of which 94 were Namibians.
Three Zambian nationals, two Burundians and one Congolese national were also arrested.
Police confiscated drugs worth N$947 580.
This included 89 102 kg of cannabis to the value of N$891 020; 448 Mandrax tablets to the value of N$53 760, and 28 units of crack cocaine valued at N$2 800.
In December, a total of 41 suspects was arrested in connection with drug-related crimes and N$481 450 in drugs were seized. Of the suspects arrested, 39 were Namibians, while one was Angolan and one Tanzanian national was also arrested.
According to the police, a total of 31 238 kg of cannabis was seized during December to the value of N$371 600, while 818 Mandrax tablets to the value of N$98 160 were also confiscated.
