Swapo elders throw weight behind Geingob

The Swapo Party Elder’s Council (SPEC) has called on all Namibians to rally behind President Hage Geingob in the upcoming general election. According to a statement issued by SPEC secretary Mukwaita Shanyengana, the ruling party’s wing reiterated its support for Geingob as the Swapo candidate for the 27 November polls. “This has been SPEC stand in 2017 and we have been reiterating this at all our Central Committee meetings in 2018 and 2019,” the statement reads.
