The Spelltecular Spelling Spree
The final in the Spelltecular Spelling Spree, held on 8 November 2025 at Pionierspark Primary School, was nothing short of spectacular. The event brought together bright young minds from various primary schools across Windhoek for a thrilling day of spelling, learning and celebration.
Vibrant, educational and filled with suspense, the competition helped nurture learners’ literacy, confidence and cognitive skills while promoting a love for language. The event not only showcased spelling talent but also celebrated teamwork, dedication and the spirit of healthy competition among learners.
Organisers, sponsors and teachers commended the participants for their enthusiasm and effort throughout the competition.
Additionally, the School of the Series Award went to Kleine Professor College for its consistency over the years, the highest number of participants in this year’s final and an outstanding performance across all grades.
The spelling spree featured two sessions, namely session 1: Grades 2 to 4; and session 2: Grades 5 to 7. Each grade had five participants competing for cash prizes, trophies, certificates and sponsored goods. The event was supported by Media Solutions Group, Sanlam, and Learn On One, whose contributions helped make the day a huge success.
