Nictus names new chief executive

Nictus Holdings has appointed Henrico du Plessis as Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 July, the group said.

The move follows a structured succession and leadership development process run by the board and its remuneration and nomination committee.

Du Plessis is a familiar face within the group. He currently serves as managing director of NHL Tyre and Tire and Khomas Car Rental and Leasing, and sits on the Group Management Committee. He holds ACCA membership and completed the Executive Development Programme at Stellenbosch Business School.

The board said his experience and knowledge of the group positioned him well to carry forward its long-term strategy.

There is no change to the board's composition, and the Group Managing Director remains in office.
