Business expo heads to Outapi
Outapi will host the second edition of the Business Enhancement Exhibition on 3 and 4 October, bringing together entrepreneurs, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and members of the public.
The two-day event, to be held at O’Zodiac Star Pension Hotel, will focus on networking, business development, marketing, knowledge-sharing and showcasing products and services.
Organiser Zenao Andowa said the exhibition was aimed at creating practical opportunities for entrepreneurs and SMEs to build relationships, attract customers and develop their businesses.
“Growth does not happen in isolation; it happens when people are given opportunities to be seen, heard, connect and be empowered,” Andowa said.
She said participants should leave the exhibition with new contacts, ideas, customers and potential business opportunities.
Entrepreneurs and experts
Isai Haishonga, founder of Izzy Cranes and an entrepreneur from Ombalantu in the Omusati Region, will serve as patron of the exhibition.
The programme will include expert talks on digitalisation and artificial intelligence (AI), branding, positioning, marketing and communications.
Speakers include Ilke Platt, founder of Poiyah Media, which received a PMR Diamond Arrow Award, and Georgina Kozmon, a specialist in digital transformation, AI, education technology, e-learning and change management.
The exhibition will also feature product and service showcases, live music, a fashion show, networking sessions and an exhibitor spotlight hour, giving participating businesses an opportunity to present their products and services directly to visitors.
A Best Energy Stand Award will recognise an exhibitor for creativity, presentation and engagement during the event. The award will be presented by Maria Nepembe-Amunyela, founder and organiser of the Vision Beauty Exhibition.
Business and public engagement
The organisers said the exhibition was intended to provide businesses with an opportunity to gain exposure, exchange ideas and identify potential partnerships, while allowing members of the public to engage directly with participating businesses.
A red-carpet segment will also form part of the programme, with visitors encouraged to dress up for the occasion.
The exhibition will open at 10h00 on both days, with entry costing N$50.
