When Karlie The Vocalist stepped onto the Miss Namibia preliminary show stage for one of the most high-profile performances of her budding career, she did more than just sing when she announced her arrival.
“To be given such a platform at this stage in my career was nothing short of an honour,” she told Tjil. “It was unforgettable. I met so many incredible people, and since that performance, I’ve seen a real spike in my music streams and engagement online. It’s opened new doors for me.”
Speaking on her latest body of work, her EP titled ‘Naked Truth’, Karlie The Vocalist said that the project is a story of transformation. “Every track on ‘Naked Truths’ contributes to a bigger picture of learning to let go, of finding your voice, of choosing honesty and emotional freedom,” she said.
Co-produced with the Champions League DJs, she explained that the EP began taking shape in 2023. The result is a sonic tapestry that blends Afrobeats, Afro-soul and R&B, reflecting both her versatility and her refusal to be hemmed in by a single genre.
“I didn’t want to limit myself,” she said. “This is my debut, so I wanted it to be as honest and multifaceted as I am. Each song stands on its own, but together they form a cohesive narrative of who I am and where I’m headed.”
That authenticity has struck a chord. Since the release of ‘Naked Truths’ Karlie The Vocalist has seen a groundswell of support - not only from fans, but from fellow artists. “The response has been overwhelmingly positive,” she said. “It’s humbling, really. I’ve had talented musicians reach out, express admiration, and even pitch collaborations. Knowing that my art resonates with people, that it moves them, that’s the biggest reward.”
