Swakopmund to host entrepreneurial showcase

The Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB) yesterday announced that Swakopmund has been selected to host this year&#039;s Know2Grow NextGeneration entrepreneur showcase. Several stakeholders gathered to witness the occasion at the MTC Dome in the coastal town.The showcase is set to be held from 2 to 4 November under the theme &#039;sustaining communities, unlocking growth and promoting inclusivity&#039;.NIPDB&#039;s executive director of MSME development, innovation and acceleration, Dino Balloti, said this will be the second edition of the youth-focused initiative, showcasing of the very best young entrepreneurs in country.“Last year, we launched this exciting initiative in the garden town of Tsumeb, under the theme &#039;scaling through innovation, value addition and cooperatives&#039;. The 2022 showcase brought together 60 majority youth-owned [micro, small and medium-sized enterprises] from a number of sectors."Meanwhile, in his keynote address, Erongo Region governor Neville Andre IItope, said the event serves as testament to a collective commitment to nurturing entrepreneurship and providing opportunities for the next generation of visionaries and trailblazers.
