Angola and Namibia aim to deepen bilateral cooperation in Cubango Province, following a Monday meeting between Governor José Martins and Namibia’s Ambassador to Angola, Leonard Nangolo Iipumbu. Discussions focused on regional development, infrastructure, and strategic sectors, including mining, agriculture, and water resources. Proposed metal bridges over the Cubango River at Cuangar–Nkurenkuru and Calai–Rundu are expected to boost mobility and cross-border trade. Ambassador Iipumbu reaffirmed Namibia’s commitment to integrated development and cooperation, while also inspecting key projects, including EN140 highway upgrades, the Cutato iron mine, and initiatives in food security and conservation agriculture.
