HEAD-ON COLLISION AT UUHAMA CLAIMS FIVE LIVES
FESTIVE CARNAGE: Five people were killed in a head-on collision between a Quantum bus and a Mazda seven-seater yesterday morning on the B1 road at Uuhama village in the Oshikoto region’s Onyaanya constituency at around 08:40.
The victims, who were passengers in the seven-seater, died at the scene. Survivors were taken to various hospitals in the north, with eyewitnesses and police at the scene telling Namibian Sun that some were in critical condition.
Initial reports indicated that the Quantum bus was travelling from Omuthiya towards Ondangwa, while the seven-seater was heading in the opposite direction. The cause of the accident remains unclear.
