Duneseven Medical Centre opens Ondangwa branch
Oniipa Constituency Councillor, Vilho Nuunyango, has praised the expansion of Duneseven Medical Centre to Ondangwa, describing it as a major step towards strengthening access to quality healthcare in northern Namibia.
Speaking at the official launch of the new branch, Nuunyango commended founder Dr Elifas Shapumba and his team for their vision and dedication to improving healthcare delivery in the country.
“This development is a clear indication of commitment and love for bringing useful health services to our people,” he said. “As Ondangwa continues to grow in population, the demand for accessible and trustworthy healthcare increases as well.”
Nuunyango noted that since its establishment in 2022, Duneseven Medical Centre has been providing consultation, medical care, and pharmaceutical services, while also engaging in health awareness and hygiene campaigns.
He added that the new Ondangwa branch will not only enhance existing healthcare capacity but also create employment opportunities for young people and stimulate local business through procurement and service partnerships.
“Dr Shapumba’s vision to heal, care for, and comfort is well in line with our national goal of improving the quality of life for every Namibian. This is what community development is about — bringing services closer to the people,” Nuunyango said.
He urged Duneseven staff to uphold the highest standards of compassion, integrity, and professionalism in serving patients.
Duneseven Medical Centre currently operates two branches in Walvis Bay — one in the township and another in Dunes Mall.
The newly opened Ondangwa branch is its third facility in Namibia.
