Rehoboth Town Council’s revenue collection remains a critical challenge, with accounts receivable standing at almost N$270 million despite an 8% improvement in revenue compared with June.

“We are still at the stage where we are not able to collect what we are supposed to do,” CEO Ronald Windswaai said this week.

Debt collection strategies are among the activities being considered by the council to improve its financial sustainability, the council said.

Council is also considering private partnerships with development partners to leverage external resources.

The financial challenges form part of the broader strategic objectives and activities outlined in the council’s August report.
