The Namibian chapter of the Young Women of Africa Organisation (YWOA) has donated sanitary pads worth N$4500 to learners at Eluwa Resource School in Ongwediva, Oshana Region, on Friday as part of efforts to promote menstrual health and support girls’ education. The initiative was carried out under the theme “Restoring Dignity and Empowering the Girl Child by Ending Period Poverty.” Speaking during the handover, Eva Josaphat, head of media, marketing and communication for YWOA Namibia, encouraged learners to believe in their dreams and reminded them that menstruation should never be a barrier to education.
