Government raises intern allowances

Government has increased monthly internship allowances from N$2,200 to N$2,692 for students, while graduate interns will receive N$3,769. Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare announced the changes on 23 October, confirming that the revised rates took effect on 1 September. The internship period has also been extended from three to six months to provide young people with more practical workplace experience.
