AZ CELEBRATES ITS 110TH ANNIVERSARY: Amid numerous congratulations, a giant cake and the obligatory cold draught to wrap up the day, Namibian Sun's sister publication, Allgemeine Zeitung (AZ), celebrated its 110th anniversary yesterday.

"We look back on an eventful history and thank all those who have made the AZ's continued existence possible over the years," said Stefan Noechel, editor-in-chief of the AZ. Noechel has been with the paper for eight years and took over as editor this July, serving as the reliable backbone leading a dedicated AZ team.
