Sisedi launches mentorship programme

In a move towards youth empowerment and financial transformation, Sisedi Investment Group, a pioneering black and female-owned asset management company, launched its chartered financial analyst (CFA) mentorship programme and unit trust on Saturday morning.The CFA mentorship programme, a cornerstone of Sisedi&#039;s commitment to youth development, is part of the company&#039;s corporate social responsibility pillars, including women&#039;s empowerment, job creation, and mentorship, and aims to offer an all-encompassing approach.According to CEO and co-founder of Sisedi Investment Group, Hertha !Gontes, the support will be holistic and will go beyond imparting theoretical knowledge and providing practical guidance, ensuring mentees are well-prepared to excel in the investment sector.“Recognising the societal disadvantages faced by many individuals, particularly women of colour, our mentorship programme aims to foster diversity and inclusion in the investment sector. The programme offers well-rounded guidance that not only offers theoretical support but also practical skill sharing as well. Sisedi aspires to cultivate a new generation of employable investment professionals who can thrive and excel irrespective of their background,” said !Gontes.Leading to success Yvonne Mwilima, portfolio and co-founder at Sisedi Investment Group and Namibia&#039;s first black female CFA holder, explained that the programme marks a crucial step in equipping young professionals with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed.“CFA has a comprehensive curriculum and practical implementation of the investment management concept.
