EU VISITS ERONGO PROJECTS: From 11 to 14 March, heads of mission from the EU delegation to Namibia and the embassies of Germany, Portugal and Spain explored Namibia’s leadership in green industrialisation during a visit to Erongo.

Key stops included Cleanergy, a Namibian-Belgian green hydrogen venture and the NSI Project, aimed at strengthening Namibia’s trade competitiveness. The delegation also toured Iberconsa Fish Factory, and the Port of Walvis Bay, a crucial EU-Namibia trade hub.

Further visits included HDF Energy’s Renewstable Swakopmund project, showcasing hydrogen-to-power technology, and the GCCA+ project in Swakopmund’s DRC settlement, which has already provided solar power to 32 households, with plans to expand to 300 across Namibia.
