BREAKING: Governor Kathindi Officially Opens 3rd Omuthiya Business Expo

The governor of the Oshikoto regiom, Sacky Kathindi, officially opened the 3rd Omuthiya Business Expo under the theme Fostering Sustainable Economic Development and Enterprise Competitiveness today.

Speaking at the opening, Kathindi commended the Omuthiya Town Council, organisers and business community, saying reaching the third edition shows the Expo has become a key platform for showcasing local products, attracting investment and creating economic opportunities.

He said Omuthiya, as the region's capital, is positioned to become a leading commercial and service centre in northern Namibia, and stressed the need to turn growth into jobs and improved living conditions.

The Governor called for stronger support for MSMEs with access to finance, skills and markets, and urged young people to embrace entrepreneurship and value addition in agriculture, livestock, construction, tourism and logistics.

He further invited investors to explore opportunities in housing, retail, light industry, warehousing, logistics and hospitality in Omuthiya.

“Let us turn dialogue into partnerships, partnerships into investment, and investment into opportunities for our people,” Kathindi said.
